 The amount of food and beverage waste is on the rise and why?

Due to portion sizes are larger and the choices we have are never ending so why eat the same thing twice. By simply incorporating ways to reuse food and beverages will reduce the expense of food costs and reduce landfills.

Here are some ideas to change your leftovers for ever:

  1. Meatloaf: Take the leftover meatloaf and turn it into a meat sauce for pasta.
  2. Pot roast broth: Use it to make a delicious soup.
  3. Spaghetti: Add to scrambled eggs, add cheese, and some salsa and you have a breakfast omelette.
  4. Chicken: Add to pasta, vegetables, soups, sandwiches and the list is endless.
  5. Fruit: Add as a side dish to breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  6. Vegetables:  Add seasonings, add to eggs, turn into soups, add to casseroles, you can never go wrong with ways to change vegetables.
  7. Wines: Add to meats, sauces, soups.
  8. Tea: Mix with other beverages to create and infusion, warm it up, cool it down, or add drink seasonings to modify the flavor.
  9. Milk: Bake, cook, drink plain, add desserts, baked goods, possibilities are unlimited.
  10. Other Drinks: Freeze as ice cubes, turn into Popsicle, mix fruits in and freeze, add gelatin and make your own version of gigglers.
